Dr. Alexandre Tahar

Dr. Tahar has researched in the field of water engineering and environment since 2007 and has developed expertise in water treatment processes (e.g. membrane bioreactor, nitrifying/denitrifying activated sludge, surface-flow constructed wetlands, subsurface-flow constructed wetlands, Ultra Violet light processes). He graduated with a Ph.D in the field of micropollutant treatment by various wastewater treatment processes.

This experience allowed him to specialize in chemical transformation/transfer processes involved in the elimination of chemicals within a variety of water treatment systems such as biodegradation, chemical transfer (i.e. sorption, volatilization), chemical degradation after UV light or ozone exposition.

Dr. Tahar is a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in ecological engineering, environmental sciences, water treatment and aquaculture.
